Krishani Abeysekera received her Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Houston Clear Lake, in May 1995. Currently, she is a Lecturer/Systems Administrator for the School of Science and Engineering at UHCL. She has held this position for the past 7 years.

Prior to this, she worked as a Software Engineer for Platinum Technology. During this time, as a member of the core development team of Paradigm Plus, she designed and developed the graphics and logic of the diagramming system using MFC, C++ and Visual Basic Scripting Language.

She also worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer for Protosoft Inc. While there, she designed and developed a bug tracking system to enhance the speed and the process of bug fixes for future releases.
