Electronic Human Resource Management Software

GHG currently is marketing electronic Employee Management Software (eEMS), a Web-based system to manage employee information for mid-sized companies. One component of eEMS is a Human Resources Management System (HRMS). GHG wishes to enhance the existing HRMS to handle details of employee benefits such as the type of coverage and premium amounts, and to allow employees to direct enroll via the Web. The prototype to be built should be based on the initial requirement specifications. It should capture the following sample enrollment forms.

Furthermore, the design of the Web application and the underlying database should be compatible with HR-XML to enhance interoperability: http://www.hr-xml.org/.

In the first two mentor meetings, GHG will:

• Demonstrate eEMS and HRMS
• Work with the team to clarify and refine requirements.
• Provide necessary software and relevant source code.
