Your Yahoo Pipe's application should be innovative, useful and significant.

Here is a very simple example:

Yahoo Pipe Example

Phase 1: Development (due date:7/15/2009)

To turn in your homework, send the instructor an email. The title must be:

CSCI 5733 Summer 2009 Yahoo Pipe homework: Jane Doe; student id: 1234567.

The body should only include a link to your Yahoo Pipe's application, e.g.:

http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.info?_id=vBE0q7gj3hGF1W_0bbsjiw.

The instructor will follow the link to grade your homework so ensure that it is working properly.

The email should include a homework assignment report, a word document. The name of the file must be:

csci5733_su09_hw_yahoo_pipe_JaneDone.doc

(or .docx)

You should edit csci5733_su09_hw_yahoo_pipe_Template.doc and change the substring "Template" to your name. Follow the instruction in the template file.

Phase 2: Peer Evaluation (due date: 7/20/2009)

To turn in your peer evaluations, send the instructor an email. The title must be:

CSCI 5733 Summer 2009 Yahoo Pipe homework evaluation: Jane Doe; student id: 1234567.

The body of the email should be empty.

There should be five attached files using the following naming convention assumed that you are "Jane Doe" reviewing "John Smith" work.

sci5733_su09_hw_yahoo_pipe_JohnSmith_reviewedBy_JaneDoe.doc

Use the evaluation template to evaluate five peer applications: csci5733_su09_hw_yahoo_pipe_Evaluation_Template.doc.

Thus, you should rename the template file by changing the substring "Template" appropriately. The peers you are going to evaluate will be posted in the class. Follow the instruction listed in the template file.

Failure to strictly follow convention may result in applications not being graded.
