The Adhoc Reporting Tool was emailed to us earlier this week. the required installations were done on a laptop and the war file was deployed. some issue came up in the deployment process , which were discussed in the meeting. The mentors provided with the following feedback,

1. The problem could be with the version of the .jar file which was placed in the JBoss server’s /lib installation folder.
2. The problem could be with the classpath settings for JBoss or Java SDK.
3. The problem could be in making a proper connection with the sample database provided, and retrieving the data into the reporting tool.
4. Port 1433 should be used and TCP/IP service for Sql Server should be enabled.
5. The mentors suggested using IReports IDE for Jasper.

   The goal for the coming week was to check for the above issues and make the deployment successful before the next meeting. As it was last meeting together with mentors and the instructor, Dr. Yue gave some really helpful suggestions and modified your rough sketch diagram of the overall flow of the system.
