Mentor Meeting # 7

A Bar Chart was implemented successfully and demonstrated to the mentor (only Mr.Scott was present). 1. Try making the Graphical reports just like the Tabular ones with the ability to edit, save and execute. 2. Work on the report definition of the graphical charts. each chart will have a different report definition. 3. Work on the User Interface, i.e. separate the Graphical Reporting and the textual Reporting parts. 4. Graphical part does not need the sorting, merging, grouping and other features which exist with the textual reports. 5. Discussed the constraints with BIRT. Mr. Scott pointed out if we can successfully implement all important charts in JasperReports then BIRT implementation can be left out! On the whole, the mentor looked to be pretty much satisfied with the work. The next meeting will be after two weeks as the mentors are not available for the coming week.
