Instructor Meeting # 4

DATE: 02.22.2007

We got the Documentation for the TieFlow package from the Mentors earlier this month. It was getting difficult for us to understand the flow of the project just by studying the docs. We requested the Mentors for the Source code for the AdHoc Reports, which they sent to us this week.

The first glance on the code made us very confused. They were a lot of java files divided in 3 different folders. We emailed the mentors for the explanation as to why the code is divided in three different folders, and got a reply from Mr. Abbas. He was very kind to answer in detail to our question.

We also discussed our yesterdays mentor meeting with Dr. Yue. Updated him about our progress and told him that we demonstrated a simple prototype to the mentors, to generate a sample chart by uploading a jrxml created by IReport. The output chart could be shown as a pfd file or can be imported as an image to a HTML page. Dr. Yue suggested us to ask the mentors what file format they would like to have for this image (jpg or png).

Dr. Yue gave us few tips for the Mid term presentation.
